In 1975 the Flyers first line set an NHL record for goals by a single line with 141 (Reggie Leach 61, Bobby Clarke 30, and Bill Barber 50). Reggie leach also set a record for most goals in a playoff series with 19 in 16 games.

The Flyers' home ice since its inception (The Spectrum and the Wells Fargo Center) has been located on Broad Street which has much to do with the nickname, "Broad Street Bullies." It also had much to do with the teams reputation for fighting as Dave "the Hammer" Schultz earned his reputation as the team enforcer. He still holds the record for most penalty minutes in a season with 472.
